As of today there are only 41 DAYS LEFT UNTIL THE WEDDING. You have GOT to be kidding me...... I knew once school ended the rest of the days before the wedding would just fly right by me and I wouldn't even be aware of it until a moment like this. SMH, I need to get with it!
I am here with an update, this one will serve as the one before the finalized update which I plan to do the first week in July; 2 wks before the wedding *GULP*......
See how my plans are unfolding after the jump....
So this what they call Life.....

Recent Activity
Wow, have I really been MIA for 2 wks? My bad, since I started this summer school class my life as revolved around it pretty much.
Wake up. Study.Clinical.Study.Class.Study.Quiz.Class.Exam.Eatsleephavenolife.Repeat. 6 wks of this, 2 officially down 4 to go. I wanted this class so I have to go hard or it will be a waste of time and money..... and I'm about my money, honey.
ANYWHO!
I recently celebrated my 24th birthday and I must say the day was truly a blast! I got to be the big birthday kid I wanted to be lol My friends took me to this place called "Main Event" and we definitely DID NOT act our age! Between the gravity ropes and the laser tag, I can't tell you which one was the most exhilarating to experience...... Really had a great time, and the best part is that I spent my birthday with friends who wanted to have the same type of fun as me! Glad I have found great people to call friends.
I always get asked how it feels to be the age that I am and I usually just shrug my shoulders and say "I don't know the same I guess." Honestly, these 20's I have experienced haven't really felt any different to my physically.....well around 22 I did start gaining weight lol but other than that there has been no major physical change that I can see. As far as mentally/emotionally though I do feel wiser than I was at the beginning of my previous year. It's like I always take with me a lesson or two from the year before and that helps to further build my character and mold me into the woman I was destined to be!
I just thank God for blessing me with a successful year so far in 2013 and I pray that this 24th year of life is full of blessings as well!

Full speed ahead
Suddenly this is what my life is doing.... MOVING.
It seems like two weeks ago, I really had nothing going on and now....... things are becoming a blur because everything is going so quickly. Time has come to send out wedding invitations, I got accepted into summer school (3 days before the class started) I HAVE A BIRTHDAY COMING UP, Lewis and I are currently making plans for after the wedding and we have 52 days until we get married.
It may not actually seem like a lot but in my little mind, these things are definitely piling up..... and fast. I welcome all of it though because this building stress leads to good results! I just need to handle one thing at a time as much as possible and not let good stress turn into bad stress.
It's unreal to me how I am about to accomplish all the major goals I set for myself a few years ago.... I found myself asking "what will I do once I complete the last goal?" The answer is super simple: create new ones! I am less than 4 months out from finishing this chapter in my life....... It only makes sense to begin a new chapter and that's what I plan to do :)
Have a good day!!

60 days of cleansing......
Today makes 60 measly days before Lewis and I become husband and wife...... Eeeek! He asked me last night was I getting excited/anxious/scared since it's SO close; I just simply replied "I think I'll start to feel the wedding butterflies after all is completed and we are actually in the car on the way to East TX to get married." Truthfully, I guess you could say I am feeling the pressure now cause there are still tasks that need to be completed....... *SIGH*
I decided to take these last 60 days before the wedding to "detox". Or is it clean out my closet? Spring clean? Purge from my life? Uhh Yea, all of that. I don't really know the exact term to use to describe what I want to accomplish in these 60 days but it's something along the lines of making sure my head is on straight and my life is somewhat aligned with the plans I have for myself and my soon-to-be husband. Now while Lewis is all for the whole "Get yo life" session I am choosing to embark on, he is does how a problem with certain aspects of it...... Sorry babe, you'll be okay!! Lol.
The things I plan to accomplish is these last 60 days before the wedding are:

The things I plan to accomplish is these last 60 days before the wedding are:
- Staying fit
- Concentrate on evolving into my role (as a wife)
- Being more spiritually in-tuned
- Evaluating my relationships with others
- Updating my wardrobe
Okay I threw in the last one because..... that is still an ongoing struggle from earlier this year *sad, I know*
In actuality 60 days is a great amount of time to really evaluate these items, if not conquer and build upon all of them.
Well, Guess it's time I really grew up. <----- Never thought I would say that out loud.*wow*

Protective style for a while........
I had been going back and forth with myself about what type of protective style I should get for the summer and I finally narrowed it down to either box braids or senegalese twists. I wanted some thing that would last me 6 wks or more since I don't plan to relax until maybe a week before the wedding........So:

| Don't laugh at my chubby looking face..... this was a bad angle! |
I went ahead and got some senegalese twists!!! I thought about box braids but, I had those last summer and I wanted to "switch it up" this time.... Keeping them up for as long as possible *crosses fingers that none of them decide to loosen up soon* I just have to control the urge to want to take my hair down in a few weeks lol
I'll also be switching up my washing routine as well from once a week to every 2wks just to make sure the twist don't get loose from too often manipulation involved in washing. My scalp will NOT appreciate this but for the sake of preserving a hair style I think it's necessary........
Wish me luck!

Who's tryna get lucky?
Mega millions drawing is tonight....... Who bought a ticket or 3? Lol...... Have you seen the lines on television for a ticket?? My goodness gracious people are SERIOUS about that 600 mil!!! Don't let this post fool you, I'm right with those people I bought 2 tickets myself hell. I would've spent those $4 on something irrelevant anyways......So why not?
Hey live a little!! It's doesn't hurt to try and you never know, you just might win something ;)

Finally, a break!
Is it true? Am I really done with my spring classes? Seems a little surreal that I am no longer responsible for studying something! I don't know how to feel........
While I'm super excited about not having class I am hoping that I get selected to take this summer school course, just call me an over achiever lol
While I have this free time I plan to finish up as much as possible in terms of wedding planning. We only have 66 days left...... which really means I have about a good 45 days to get it all set! My biggest task to tackle at the moment are the wedding invitations. I took the DIY route for this and while I have the wording down pretty good, my biggest challenge is finding a design to fit. I want it to reflect both mine and Lewis' personalities without seeming fake or commercial..... Haven't found anything that speaks to me yet, but I know it's out there!
Really though, where has the year gone?
Along with the invitations we still need to choose a place to do the cupcakes for the reception, send out final payments, finish pre-marital counseling, talk with the Reverend who will be marrying us, hash out the final details for flowers, book the hotel for the night/weekend.......the list of little things to complete is a mile long. I'll just be glad when all of it is done and all I am responsible for is showing up with my dress on a hanger lol.
When you look at it, I'm not truly getting a break ....... just shifting gears!
Oh! OAN: For all my folks who are doing the money challenge that I talked about way back in January HERE..... It's Week 19, have you been keeping up with saving ya money? I can honestly say that it can be difficult to part with it at times, especially when you are a little strapped for cash.... but I've been pretty disciplined and I'm proud! The challenge is really about to take off now too, from here on out it's big savings! It's never too late to join either, just check out the link for the challenge!
